Dykes on Mikes and Precision Libido show at Westco. Its this
thurday April 3rd at 9PM. The music is all queer themed. Here are some
descriptions if you need them:
Dykes on Mikes features Emily Meyer, Elise Herrig, Aliza Simons, and
Aparna Lakshmi. They will be covering
songs by Melissa Etheridge at this show. Dykes on Mikes is committed to
queering stages here and abroad through the music of
rock’s greatest lesbian of all time! Careful, they'll queer you too!
Precision Libido consists of Emily Meyer, Elissa Martel, Aliza Simons, and
Rayna Edwards. They are all sophomores at Wesleyan. A lude and friendly
women's folk rock band, they sound a bit like Luscious Jackson crossed
with Le Tigre and a tinge of Earl Scruggs. They draw influences from the
girl power movement of the mid nineties and the riot grrl movement into
the early two thousands. They formed after meeting at a make-out party for
Wesleyan women.
